Read as text
  1. Sarah sends the October bank statement as a PDF and an Excel file.
  2. Documind reads every line and loads your list of open invoices.
  3. It checks that amounts match and that no line is used twice.
  4. Line 88 fits two different sets of invoices, so it asks a person.
  5. A colleague picks invoices 0502 and 0507.
  6. The matches are written into the ERP. The line in dollars goes to finance.

What must match before a line is closed

Documind puts each statement line next to your open invoices and payments. A line closes only when the rules pass. Every match shows the line it came from.

  • Amount on the line Invoice amount

Exact, or within the limit you set.

  • Currency on the line Invoice currency

A different currency waits for a person.

  • Reference in the description Invoice number

A clear reference makes the match stronger.

  • Payer on the line Your customer list

The payer must be the customer on the invoice.

  • Each statement line Earlier matches

A line is never used for two payments.

You decide how careful it is

More careful means more questions for your team. Less careful means more work done by itself. Wrong answers are blocked either way.

Questions people ask

Which banks does it support?

Bank statement layouts differ from bank to bank. Ask us for the list of supported banks. You can also send one sample statement, and we show you the result.

Does Documind connect to our bank?

No. You upload the statement file, as a PDF, Excel or CSV. Documind does not log in to your bank, and it never makes payments.

What if the PDF is a scan?

Documind reads scanned statements too. Three different AI models read each line and must agree. Totals are checked against the opening and closing balance. If a line is unclear, it asks a person.

Can it prepare balance-confirmation letters?

Yes, it drafts each letter from your template, with the open balance. A person on your team checks the letter and sends it.

What do auditors see?

Each match is recorded with the statement line, the invoice and the rule used. If a person decided, the record shows who and when. The record cannot be changed later.
